Saturday, October 3 is the annual Walk to Defeat ALS. This is our fourth year doing the walk. We were fortunate enough to get to walk WITH Mom in 2006 (as pictured with Corey), now we walk in her memory. Please join us in this important fundraiser for ALS. If you can get donations great! If not, please join us anyhow. You can also make a personal contribution on the website or at the park the day of the event. These donations are tax-deductible.
Walkers: There are several changes this year. New location in Fort Steilacoom (closer). Shorter distance (only 2.5 miles this year) and in order to get a free t-shirt you need to raise at least $75.00 a person. Not a big deal if you can't raise the amount!
Date: Saturday, October 3, 2009
Time: Check in begins at 9 a.m. Please arrive before 9:30 a.m. (so you can be in the group photo). Walk begins at 10:00 AM
Distance: SHORTER DISTANCE - 2.5 miles
Location: NEW LOCATION!! Fort Steilacoom - Driving Directions. We will meet at the Martin Way Park-in-Ride at 8:30 a.m. If you want to join the carpool, please reply by comment to this posting.
The walk site is wheelchair and stroller accessible. You can also bring your dog! You don’t need to walk any or all of the route in order to participate.
