Then, sat on the beach.
Watched as the beach was transformed into our sunset wedding setting.
Had a BBQ lunch - Fiji style.
Went into town to get our marriage license. When we returned, we had a coconut oil couples' massage in the Rainforest Spa deep in the jungle where there was no power.
Returned to our rooms for pampering... Some of us more than others.
Had my prayers answered when my bure was filled with new friends helping me get ready.
More worrying about how my curling iron would function was put to rest when I saw these curls from pink sponge rollers!
The whole primping crew...
I was led across the street to the beach as they were beating the drums to where Bill was waiting for me.
We exchanged our vows.
And were pronounced husband and wife.
Came back to our bure to change for dinner. They'd left us fresh fruit.
And petals on the walkway strewn all the way to our bed.
I changed into something more comfortable so we could go have cocktails with our new friends.
Solo named a drink after Bill - or "Will" as he called him.
We had a candlelit lobster dinner on the beach under the arch where we were married.
Returned to the resort to cut our cake to share.
Boys did their thing.
It was the best day of our lives and we will never forget it. All the way in Fiji. All by ourselves. Truly, a dream come true.
Can't believe it has been a year and we've been together almost five years. I married my best friend and it was the best decision I've ever made. I couldn't be happier.
