Yes, that is the remains of a centerpiece from my wedding reception. It is filled with real sand and shells. Truth be told, I've been meaning to either get rid of it or fill it with something different. In the meantime, I CLEARLY need to remove it from the bathroom counter. I'm sure there will be several phases of baby-proofing, but we obviously need to start with the bathroom counter considering she does hang out there quite often.
Hi! I just wanted to let you know how happy your blog makes me! I found it while I was searching out cute ideas for my daughters "big girl" room. She is 18 months old, but is the size of a four year old. For this reason a "big girl" bed is a necessity for us much sooner than we anticipated. I love your nursery! Of course once I bookmarked your site so that I could reference you nursery ideas I also started reading your blog regularly. Just recently I decided that a blog would be a fun project for myself. I am a stay at home mom, I gave up a thought provoking and fulfilling career to stay with my daughter after she was born. 6 days out of 7 this was a great decision. On that one day a week when I wonder if quitting work was the right move for my sanity, my blog is going to be my life line :) Since I have you to thank for this, I thought I would share.
PS - another blog I follow is Young House Love, I saw your daughters onesie-month photos and wondered if you followed them as well. They are reminiscent of what they do with their daughter Clara weekly!
Thank you so much for sharing - that means a LOT! And you've started a blog. Good for you - I hope you enjoy it! I know it doesn't work for everyone, but I really do like it.
I totally follow Young House Love, but here is the blog I modeled mine after (I used her template and then tweaked it): http://goodfoodgoodfriendsgoodlife.blogspot.com/2009/08/monthiversary-onesies.html
I enjoy reading blogs too and it means a LOT you enjoy looking at mine. Thanks so much!
I laughed out loud at this one - but definitely not AT you :) All parents have been there.....the day when they realize that their little, previously non-mobile sweetheart, is starting to have more awareness about the world around here....and a desire to explore said world by touching everything in it (usually involving putting everything in the mouth to fully examine it). Previously new looking furniture no longer looks that way, little fingerprints are on everything......ah, life with baby/toddler!! :)
Baby G's favourite pasttime is eating toilet paper. Yep...it's amazing how quickly he can make his way over to the bathroom to unravel the roll when Mama has her back turned! ;)

I love the first pic ad the thought bubble. You're so cute! :-)
